Iran Internet Bandwidth To Increase By 30% - No More Disconnections

According to Fars News Agency, the head of the Ministry of Communications has declared that Iran's internet bandwidth with the world will increase by 30%. Mohammad Hasan Nami said, "This year will see a 30% increase in bandwidth for the Telecommunication Infrastructure Companys (TIC) international internet which means there will be no more disconnections in Iran's internet". This will increase Iran's international internet bandwidth from 63 Gbps to 83 Gbps. The TIC also explained that there are 8 ports between Iran and the international network so if one stops working the network will continue to function.

Also Iran's internal network bandwidth has increased 80% from 25 Gbps in 2011 - 2012 to 45 Gbps in 2012 - 2013. This makes the total bandwidth 128 Gbps overall. The super fast internal network will be delivered using 50,000 km long super advanced fibre optic network and high technology VPLS and MPLS equipment. The internal network is used by government ministries and provincial organisations.

1000 Blogs And Websites Built By Iranian Women Students

Director of Iran's seminaries for women, Hojjat-ol-eslam Mohammad Reza Jamshidi, has reported that 1000 blogs and media websites have been built by female theology students. In a speech at the opening ceremony of the Fatima al-Zahrah Howzeh in Saveh, he said the number of blogs will eventually reach thousands and other religious scholars will get the opportunity to broadcast their message in cyberspace.

80% Of Hacks In Iran Are Against Our Banks

Iran's biggest banks have taken a leap forward in the management and security of the information and data that they have. This is due to increasing cyber attacks and hacks on the Iran banking network as well as risks from usual bank work. The Managing Director of Informatics Services Corporation, Seyed Abutaleb Najafi, said that:

"more than 80% of hacks are against the banking network".

When combined with the usual bank risks it becomes very complicated:

"these risks have knock-on effects on each other".

To stop the impact of these risks, Informatics Services Corporation have used expertise to design new risk management systems to control this information. Informatics Services Corporation provide data and information to the biggest banks in Iran such as Central Bank, Bank Melli, Bank Saderat and Bank Mellat. Iran Victim Of Other Countries Hacking Technique

The Iranian ICT Ministry has revealed that Iran has been a victim of a hacking technique that has caused Iran to be accused of worldwide cyber attacks.
Deputy ICT Minister Ali Hakim Javadi told ISNA News:

"A typical hacking technique is for countries to use other countries IP addresses to launch attacks on a third country".

This technique is called a proxy and is used worldwide by hackers. This proxy activity has caused people to accuse Iran for recent attacks on America despite such evidence and well known hacking techniques.

To protect Iran and other countries this activity is watched by Iran's expert Maher Center which has identified infected Iranian IP addresses being used in attacks and monitoring what happens to stop future cyber attacks.
